Digital Ag Technologies Australia | DATA Ag
Our Story
Heavy on the science, strong on the application.
A data-driven approach to agriculture.
With a passion for making agronomic decisions more objective based on custom data, DATA Ag founder Brendan Griffiths launched Griffiths Agriculture more than 25 years ago, servicing agronomy clients in the Macintyre and Gwydir regions. With an interest in growing his research base and focusing further on crop and soil nutrition, Brendan completed his Masters in Agriculture in 2002, which further inspired the undertaking of his PhD studying the agronomic constraints in irrigated wheat in northern NSW in 2009. Brendan went on to spend 12 years as an academic at the University of New England, while continuing to consult in farm advisory under Griffiths Agriculture.
From here, the business transitioned into an industry leader for data and research - a pillar of agricultural trials, precision agriculture and GIS (global information systems), which sparked the rebrand to DATA Ag in 2020 - Digital Ag Technologies Australia.
Servicing both broadacre and cotton crop clients, DATA Ag specialises in studying the interactions between soils and crop agronomy utilising spatial soil mapping. Working outside of the agronomic area, DATA Ag also supports the energy sector and corporate farming in the Northern Territory, helping providers better understand their soils, farming operations and agronomic systems to best suit the northern environment.
Backed by a team of certified agronomists, DATA Ag have built relationships with a larger network of agriculturally based providers across Australia who are committed to delivering a long-term, empowered and highly successful outcome for your business.
